I'm kidding. I'm not actually starving. But I would legitimately love to help you bring your story ideas to life! If you've always wanted to publish a book, but writing isn't your thing, or you don't know where to begin or don't have the time? I got you.
I don't hate other genres, and I'm happy to tie in all the crazy subgenres your little heart desires, but I only take on projects where ROMANCE is the primary focus. Why? Because I like staying in my lane. I like pouring my creative energy into projects that light me up. I like sticking to the genre I want to grow and improve in. Don't you improve by writing in general? Sure, but writing compelling romance is an art, and that's where I like to shine. So, if romance isn't the focus of your story, I'm sorry, but it's not gonna fit. (That's not what she said.)
I want you to know that you aren't just getting someone to write your book when you hire me. You're entering a collaborative process wherein I will help you build an engaging, well-paced outline. I don't want to write you a cute, fluffy story. I want to write you an epic tale that's swoon-worthy, delivers big feelings, and makes people flip those pages nonstop to the bitter end. We'll workshop it, we'll beat-sheet it, and we'll make sure everything is woven together in a way that's compelling AF.
Plus, I outsource my editing to a professional (because self-editing is a tricky beast even for seasoned writers), so you're getting a finished product pruned and polished by not one but two sets of eyes. This means no fixing stuff or hiring an editor after the fact. You're welcome.
Here's the thing: my services aren't cheap. I know they won't be affordable for everybody. Just know that, as with many services, you tend to get what you pay for.
My current rate for ghostwriting is 180 USD/5000 Words (+5% GST because the government wants their taxes, or whatever.)
If you're interested in hiring me as your ghostwriter, here's how it goes:
STEP 1: You fill out the form below. You give me as much information as possible about your story/series idea, your outline, etc.
STEP 2: I email you back and let you know if I'm interested in your project. I don't accept every project because I have limited time and prefer to work with humans and projects that seem like a good fit.
STEP 3: We agree to work together, yay! I email you a contract you e-sign, which legally protects us both and ensures your rights to the finished work.
STEP 4: You pay a 50% deposit via PayPal or e-transfer. When that is received, we will start working on a finalized outline.
STEP 5: We tweak the outline until we both feel it is super solid. I now begin the writing process.
STEP 6: I will send you work in segments. Depending on the total length of the project, this might be chapter by chapter or longer pieces. I generally like a maximum of 10K words, so it's quick and not overwhelming for you to review.
STEP 7: When you're happy with each segment, I send it off to my editor. They look it over, make sure it's as strong as possible, and catch anything we may have missed. They won't change style or content.
STEP 8: Rinse and repeat until your book is finished! The remaining 50% payment is due when your book is 75% complete.
I definitely have types I prefer. Here's a quick summary of what I will and won't do. Please note that I am open to pieces in my Don't Love category, especially if paired with other subgenres. You are totally welcome to pitch an idea from these categories, but there is a higher chance I may feel the project isn't a good fit for me.
WON'T: Do extensive research or historically accurate pieces
WILL: Sweet (non-explicit) or spicy (explicit) content, Extremely dark/taboo romance, Sex-related non-fiction (ex. sex/BDSM blogs), literally any trope
MOST LOVE: Paranormal (obviously, I love my spooky shizz), fantasy, mystery/thrillers, all genders/sexualities/dynamics, LGBTQ+
DON'T LOVE: Sports, historically accurate, medicine/hospital
Please reach out at scarlettmoro@gmail.com if you cannot find an answer to your question.
Please fill out the form below. You can also email me, but I like the form because it asks you several questions that let me know where you're at with your story concept.
Not at this time. I prefer delivering the highest-quality work, and having an editor helps ensure this. Their insight is entirely worth the cost; trust!
My editor and I have an NDA that does not allow me to share that information. Sorry. I can tell you this: They're well-educated and a real human.
The only AI I use is Grammarly, which does a soft edit before sending the work to my editor. I do not use ChatGPT. I do not use any form of AI to write content, outline, generate ideas, etc. Of course, you are always welcome to use any software you like to check for AI use and plagiarism.
PayPal is my preferred method. I also accept e-transfers from Canadian clients.
I'm very happy to work out a milestone-style order with you! We can determine what works for your budget and tackle sections as feasible.
